Academic histology laboratory Ltd. has developed a CLIENT INFORMATION document that identifies the most important things that anyone who sends tissue samples for histological examination needs to know. In order to ensure valid results of the pathohistological investigation, it is necessary to comply with the appropriate conditions for the fixation, labelling, completion of the manual documentation, storage and transport of the material. The information contains the reasons for refusing an exam, lists the factors that affect the exam, and the time when the exam is run.
Referral form
The form to be sent to the Laboratory shall be the form provided in Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 265 (04.04.2006) Appendix 76.
When completing the referral, PLEASE NOTE:
1. Referral must be completed in duplicate2. The payer of the test must be indicated3. The following data must be completed LEGIBLY and IN FULL: 1) patient's name, surname, personal code, 2) material - object, localization, appearance, 3) key clinical data, 4) a doctor who has appointed an examination, 5) the authority from which the examination is sent; 4) OTHER! For inquiries, phone or email to report the result.

Accessibility of environment
SIA “Akadēmiskā histoloģijas laboratorija” does not provide access to the environment for persons with functional disorders.
In order for clients with functional disorders to receive the services provided by the institution - examinations, consultations, preparations, results or their copies, it is necessary to call +371 6776060 and inform the laboratory staff about the necessity and restrictions. The laboratory staff will provide these services according to internal instructions.
